Authorities have recovered a body from the shore of Little Talbot Island, not far from where a local swimmer disappeared Saturday evening.

A group of three men was out swimming when two of them starting having problems.  A surfer nearby pulled one person to safety.  When he went back for the second swimmer, he was gone.

Florida Fish & Wildlife spokesperson Karen Parker said a body came ashore this morning.  Little Talbot Island is about a mile from Huguenot Park.

Authorities suspended the search for the missing swimmer on Sunday due to rough conditions at sea.

Authorities are working to identify the victim.
