There is a push in the Florida Legislature to help sports teams and leagues renovate their facilities.

Florida lawmakers are considering providing finances for both the Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars stadium renovations, as well as the Daytona International Speedway.

Governor Rick Scott is on board with the plan, but he wants to make sure there are requirements that will protect the taxpayers.

He is also proposing a $5 million incentive to keep baseball spring training here in Florida.

Some Senate Republicans are saying they will not approve the new incentives without adjusting some current tax breaks and other incentives.
