Nine acrobats and two other people were injured in an accident yesterday at a Ringling Brothers show in Providence, Rhode Island.  It happened during a stunt called "human chandelier," where a bunch of female acrobats get suspended by their hair and lifted up about 30 feet.  Apparently a cable snapped.

 

Most performers suffered broken bones. None of the injuries were life-threatening, but at least one was in critical.
