President Trump wants the Department of Education eliminated. During the signing of an executive order aimed at dismantling the department, Trump said everyone knows its the right thing to do after looking at test scores of U.S. children. The President added that the U.S. spends more money on every pupil than any other country, but we are near the bottom of the list in test scores. Trump says it's time to see education authority be returned to individual states. Education Secretary Linda McMahon will have to get Congressional approval to officially abolish the agency.
