Maren Morris Will Be Dropping Some New Music In January

Just off the 52nd Annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Maren Morris is focused on promoting her current single "Rich" and working on new music and things to come in 2019. Morris stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to dish on her CMA week, when to expect new music and all things life recently.

Although Morris didn't walk away with an award from her two nominations, Morris dazzled on the red carpet and cameras with four wardrobe changes and over 500K of jewelry on her during country music's biggest night. Before the CMAs though, Morris and husband Ryan Hurd went to Sesame Street and got to meet some iconic characters. She's also been binge-watching Making A Murderer Season 2 and The Staircase.

Despite the fun Morris has been having, she's also been hard at work with her music. Morris's current single "Rich" is climbing the country charts, but she was worried it wouldn't work at radio. The song gave her some Dixie Chicks "Goodbye Earl" type of vibes. But the song that Morris still gets choked up singing is "My Church" despite the song being out for over three years.

Finally, Morris exclusively shared some details on that "MM2" new music she's been teasing on social media. The new album has a couple of features from a few people she knows personally and some artists she's a fan of. Also, the album was wrapped right before the CMAs and the first time everyone will get to hear something is in January.

Although Morris shares her and her husband Ryan Hurds' lives on social media often, there are a few things she shared that people may not know. Morris's coffee is a coconut milk latte and she never tells them her name, she always puts down her husband's name "Ryan." And ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Morris says that icebox chocolate pie is one of her favorite dishes.
