Firefighter Mike Thawley discovered the poor, sick puppy tied up in the rain. There was no one around the claim her. Mike cleaned her up and brought her to an animal shelter for some much needed medical attention.
Chunkie was so happy to be saved from neglect and immediately formed a strong bond with Mike. So strong that she missed him and was visibly sad when he left. but the following day, Mike returned to visit his friend. The reunion was incredible.
