Amazon plans to hire people using “Amazon Day” to help.
The two days of the event are on Wednesday, June 21 and Friday, June 23.
Two Jacksonville Amazon fulfillment centers are already under construction, one in North Jacksonville near International Airport Boulevard and another in the Cecil Park Commerce Center. Amazon also plans to open a delivery station and a 237,053-square-foot Westside Industrial Park warehouse, according to the Daily Record.
The event aims to inform the public of the hiring. Interested applicants may apply from home by visiting www.amazondelivers.jobs. A number of local employment organizations are assisting job-seekers that need computer access at the following times:
