The night was hot, the music was hot, and the Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker concert was the way to kick off the weekend in Tampa the last weekend of September. Humidity is just a fancy way of saying even the air is sweating. Here were some highlights!
1. Russell Dickerson came out to our tailgate and sang Blue Tacoma!
Because having the opening act come out and actually hang with us country music fans-priceless!
2. When Hillary's husband crashed the stage and crushed the drums
Hillary Scott's husband, Chris Tyrrell, plays the drums for Lady Antebellum. But being the supportive husband that he is, he's taking time off from drumming to help care for their twins. We saw him backstage with the twins in a stroller, having the time of his life. But during the show, a fan in the audience, who looked a lot like Chris, held up a sign to come up onstage. And he went right to the drums and crushed it.
