The Gasparilla Pirate Festival and Parade is coming up in downtown Tampa on January 26. It all started in 1904 in Tampa, celebrating Jose Gaspar, a mythical Spanish pirate who supposedly was pirating in Southwest Florida in the early 1800s.
It's so much fun! There are 300,000 people on average who show up for the big parade, and a LOT of people dress up like pirates.
So....even thought this video is about dressing up for Halloween, there are some great makeup ideas for standing out in the crowd. Which is a good thing, because who doesn't want to stick out so that all the beads get thrown your way!
