Manatee Caught Munching on Lawn in Florida Backyard

Hurricane Eta brought the high tide to Florida and with it, a huge manatee swam into this Flagler Beach backyard. Manatees love "greens" like water lettuce, hydrilla, hyacinth, alligator weed, etc. But it looks like this manatee wanted to mix up his diet and try some regular lawn grass. Thank goodness he treated it like a fast food stop so that he didn't get stuck when the high tide turned into a low tide. Manatees can get up to 3500 pounds and they're a little heavy when rescuing.

And by the way, if manatees can get up to 3500 pounds and all they eat is grass, our diets are doomed! Eek!
