If you're a fan of the series "Yellowstone", you've probably seen the creator Taylor Sheridan playing cowboy "Travis" on the show. And Taylor is a real life cowboy, growing up on a Texas Ranch before starting his acting and screenwriting career. The show is addicting, not only for the story line, but for the really interesting characters set against the beautiful Montana backdrop.
And turns out Taylor is married to a real life "cowgirl". Taylor's wife, Nicole, is a model and she has won in competitive cutting, which is showing off how athletic the horse is while handling cattle. She won the Careity Foundation team ride in 2020 and she called it the "highlight" of her career.
Once I started getting into the show, I was googling the actors, Montana, rodeo, even "buckle bunnies". The show introduced "buckle bunnies" into an episode and explained what they are.
A "buckle bunny", according to veteran ranch hand Lloyd (on the show), is a female who hangs out at rodeo events hoping to catch a cowboy. The "buckle bunnies" on the show definitely added some fun to the show!
Wonder if Travis, the creator, brought that phrase to Yellowstone? It definitely is endearing in it's own way. The one thing we know, Nicole is not a "buckle bunny"... they both found their buckles!
