The Stanley Cup made its way to Denver so that it could be there for Championship parade, but it was delivered to the wrong address!
Neighbors Kit Karbler and Dmitri Rudenko saw a car pull up in the driveway and a few guys got out and opened up the trunk and pulled out a giant black case. They got a knock on the door with the delivery....of the Stanley Cup!
It was supposed to land at Avalanche team captain Gabriel Landeskog's house but ended up stuck in the neighbor's driveway. Kit and Dmitri were so surprised they didn't even think of taking selfie pictures with the cup, but they did get one pic and shared it on Nextdoor under "Lost and Found" LOL.
We feel for the Stanley Cup. Wouldn't Stanley rather be riding on the back of a jet ski during a Championship boat parade (like in Tampa Bay) rather than stuck in a random driveway in Denver?
The Stanley Cup will get its moment and and show off through the streets of Denver in the Championship parade. If it gets out of that driveway.
