Our Super Menu

My wife and I decided to mix the two teams' cities and make a dish for Sunday! We found a pork rib recipe (with a KC feel to it, tomato sauce involved) with an orange sauce (Florida, naturally) From the pictures above you can see they looked great, but tasted even better!

In case you want to try it, here's the recipe

PORK RIBS WITH ORANGE SAUCE

6 lb. pork spare ribs

1 quart orange juice

2 cups ketchup

1 cup cider vinegar

1 cup brown sugar

6 cloves garlic (minced)

3 onions (chopped)

1 tsp. salt

1 Tbs. mustard

1 tsp. Datil pepper sauce

Mix all ingredients except ribs into a sauce. Place ribs on a rack in a pan of water and steam for 45 minutes.

Put sauce in a pan and cook over medium heat until reduced by half.

Remove ribs from pan of water and transfer to grill, or place in a shallow pan in a 350 degree oven. Baste with sauce and cook until tender. We got the meat temp to 185 and then let it cook a little longer to get it more tender. It worked...

At serving time, top with remaining sauce & garnish with orange slices.

They were delish!

Cranberry orange cookies

Then my wife made some cranberry orange cookies, with the red for the chiefs and the orange for the old-school Bucs colors. They were incredible as well!!
