My weekend started out Friday at the Ponte Vedra bar, Mulligans Pub, where my boyfriend and I went to enjoy a couple of beers for happy hour. My condo is a half mile from the Sawgrass Village Shopping Center so we took a walk to the bar and enjoyed the nice weather on the way there.
After that, we went to my place for dinner & I made Trisha Yearwood's recipe for Avocado Pineapple Salsa, from one of her cookbooks I have. It is DELICIOUS! We devoured it. If you get tired of regular salsa, try it! It's not hard to make and I guarantee everyone will love it!
Here's a tip for you with the salsa.... serve it with Tostitos Hint of Lime tortilla chips. It's a perfect complement to the dish.
On Saturday, we took a long walk to the beach, where coastal fog had taken over.
On Saturday afternoon, we went to the Taste of Jacksonville, which was at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine.
We had some yummy food from the Sajima Street Fare food truck. I had the Shoyu Beef Bowl, which was terrific!
We also had huge ice cream cones from the Mister Softee food truck & I bought a couple of items from local vendors who were there.
On Sunday, before my boyfriend headed home to St. Pete, we made a trip out to Woodpecker's Backyard BBQ for some delicious ribs.
And that was the weekend!
