Did you see what Chris Stapleton did for his high school alma mater?

You could say that Chris Stapleton hasn't forgotten the roots of his raisin'. A Concert for Kentucky was a benefit show with all proceeds going to Chris and Morgane Stapleton's Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund, established to support local and national organizations that benefit Kentucky. The first grant distributions went to music and arts education. This concert had been postponed for a couple of years to Covid, but they were finally able to put it on. Special guests Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow joined Chris at the University of Kentucky's Kroger Field (the first concert at the new stadium).

But the real special guests were the senior class from Chris' high school alma mater in Paintsville, about a two- hour drive away. Chris paid for the entire senior class to attend the show and also paid for transportation! Such a cool thing to do for a senior class who had half of their high school years really messed up by shutdowns and distance learning. The Johnson Central High School class of 2022 are certainly ending their high school years with an incredible memory!
