St. Johns County released a Press Release Wednesday, November 9th updating residents on services ahead of Tropical Storm Nicole - here is a summary of the information.
GOVERNMENT OFFICES
All offices and departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners and the City of St. Augustine will close Wednesday, November 9th, starting at 12PM and Thursday, November 10th - with the exception of emergency services. *They will also be closed Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
City of St. Augustine Beach government offices will remain open Wednesday and close Thursday, November 10th. *They will also be closed Friday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.
The St. Augustine Municipal Marina is currently closed and will reopen once weather conditions allow.
PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM
All St. Johns County libraries, bookmobiles, and book drops will close Wednesday, November 9th, at 12PM and Thursday, November 10th. *Libraries are also closed Veterans Day. Due dates will be extended and fines will not be incurred during the closure.
PARKS AND BEACH SERVICES
All St. Johns County Parks & Recreation parks and facilities will close Wednesday, November 9th, at 12PM and Thursday, November 10th. Including, but not limited to: athletic playing fields, passive parks, boat ramps, playgrounds, fishing piers, and the St. Johns County Golf Course. Beachfront parks and walkovers will also be closed. They will not reopen until safety inspections have been completed and weather conditions allow.
SCHOOLS
St. Johns County Schools and district offices will remain open on Wednesday with regular early dismissal, and extended day services. There will be no after school activities, events, or athletics. Schools and district offices will close on Thursday, November 10th, and Friday, November 11th, for Veterans Day.
SUNSHINE BUS SERVICE
