Listen to Travis Tritt on iHeartRadio

Travis Tritt says he's thrilled that he had the chance to record a song with his daughter.  The country star's latest release is a remake of the Patty Smyth-Don Henley hit "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough."

Travis tells it's a song he wanted to record six years ago, but none of the duet partners he had in mind for the project were available.  But he says he kept the song on his iPod, and his daughter Tyler Reese heard it for the first time last year.

Tritt recalls she was singing along, and he was so impressed he decided to cut the song with her.  He adds that he knows he sounds like "a proud papa," but he believes Tyler "nailed it."

"Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" has become Tritt's new single - and his first release in six years.  Travis adds that he's "just thrilled to death" that his debut single on his new label, Post Oak, is a song he recorded with his daughter.  The song will be on Tritt's new album, The Calm After..., which will hit stores on July 9th.
