The Golden Glades Interchange is undergoing a major rehaul.
Enmanuel Espinal, engineer with the GGI project says they plan to build 32 bridges in what is called the biggest design, bid, build project in the state's history.
There will be two first-ever connections: From the I-95 Express lanes to the Florida Turnpike and from 826 eastbound to northbound I-95.
Over 400,000 vehicles travel through the Golden Glades Interchange daily. The entire project will take over 7 years to complete.
