Meet Reese, a 2-year-old Labrador mix that weighs around 85 pounds. He was found as a stray by Nassau County Animal Services. He was picked up by K9s For Warriors in August 2021. Now, he’s ready for his new family! He is now up for adoption and looking for his forever home where he can live as a regular ole dog and fulfill his dream of being a couch potato!
He is known as the “Kool-Aid man” around our kennels because he is a very big and boisterous boy. He is very smart and knows his basic commands. Sometimes, he forgets how large he is, so his ideal home would be with kids older than 12 and no small animals. He would love a family with an active lifestyle, a big fenced in yard and extra time for cuddles.

Once you fill out an application, please send an email to our adoption team. (adoptionpv@k9sforwarriors.org) letting them know which dog you are interested in (Reese). After that, we will set up a meet and greet. All family members and pets are required to come to the meet and greet. If it is a good match, we will send you home with a small bag of food, a collar, a leash, a Kong and a file with Reese’s information and some helpful adoption packets — and of course, your forever friend!
