Trisha Yearwood shared a festive birthday tribute to legendary singer Brenda Lee. Lee, a Georgia-born artist nicknamed “Little Miss Dynamite,” is known for her timeless holiday hit, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” which she released in the late 1950s at just 13 years old.

Yearwood posted a photo of herself with Lee sitting in front of a glowing Christmas tree, and penned a heartfelt tribute to celebrate Lee’s birthday on Wednesday (December 11). She turned 80. Yearwood wrote in her caption on Instagram: “Just Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with little miss dynamite! Happy Birthday [Brenda Lee]! I love you! xo.”

Lee said last year that she “cannot believe” that she shattered records with “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” more than six decades after she originally released the song. The song went No. 1 last year, 65 years after its release, marking Lee’s third No. 1, the longest stretch of time between the singer’s first and most recent No. 1, and the oldest woman to reach No. 1, her record label noted. Lee said in a statement via her label last year: “This is amazing! I cannot believe that ‘Rockin’’ has hit No. 1 65 years after it was released, this is just so special! The song came out when I was a young teenager and now to know that it has resonated with multiple generations and continues to resonate – it is one of the best gifts I have ever received. Keep on Rockin’ and Merry Christmas!”

Yearwood and Tanya Tucker teamed up with Lee on the first-ever music video for “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” last year. Watch it here:
