The Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee tonight offers Governor Ron DeSantis both promise and peril says University of Central Florida political scientist Aubrey Jewett.
This debate really is the best opportunity that Governor DeSantis actually has to reboot his campaign. To get people in the Republican Party to begin thinking of him differently, and thinking of him as competitive and somebody that can win this thing still, " said Jewett.
But Dr. Jewett says with former President Trump skipping the debate, the other seven candidates on the stage may spend the night ganging up on DeSantis and whittling him down to their size.
