Another Death Linked To Cantaloupes, Recalled In Florida & Other States

A third person in the U.S. is dead after eating cantaloupe contaminated with salmonella. Another 96 have been hospitalized and 230 cases of the illness have been reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The outbreak, first reported November 17th, is also linked to five deaths in Canada.

Recalled cantaloupe were sold at Kroger, Trader Joe's and Sprouts stores in states including Florida.

Cases have been reported across the country and a recall has been put in place for several brands and retailers.
