Students Busted Using AI to Make Inappropriate Images of Classmates

Police in Miami-Dade County say two students at Pinecrest Cove Academy in Westchester used artificial intelligence to make inappropriate images of classmates. Police say boys and girls were among the victims. The incident occurred off-campus during the Thanksgiving recess.

Parents received a letter from school officials, who suspended the two male students for ten days. It read in part,

“This behavior is unacceptable. We prioritize the privacy and well-being of all students, and we will not tolerate such actions. Upon learning of this situation, we reported it to law enforcement who are now conducting an in-depth investigation. The individuals responsible will be facing disciplinary action.”

The case remains under investigation by the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's office.
