A former state lawmaker is one of three finalists to be the next President of Florida Atlantic University.

FAU's Board of Trustees has whittled down their list of candidates to three...again.

They are the Dean of Florida Atlantic's College of Business Michael Hartline, former Republican State Rep. Adam Hasner, who serves on the Dean's advisory board and John Volin, Provost at the University of Maine.

The finalists will conduct public forums on campus next month.

This is the second search for a President after Kevin Wagner stepped down back in 2021. A previous search came down to three finalists, but the state determined that the search committee violated sunshine laws, which brought the process to an end.
