Let's be real, It's annoying when your going through your junk drawer, find a VISA Gift Card you got from Christmas 2020, get excited because you think it might have $$ on it, then when you check the balance it's only has $2.15 left. What do you even buy with $2.15 anymore?!
Well...here is how you can turn those cards into Amazon money!
Once you have the exact balance left on your gift card, follow these steps:
Once in Amazon, go to Account Settings. Find "Gift Card Balance" and click on "Reload Your Balance". . Then type in the amount left on your gift card and click "Buy Now". Change your payment method and add it as a new credit card. In the area where is asks for the name of the card, type in "Gift Card" or whatever is printed on the front of the card you have. Then enter your own billing address and place your order.
It's pretty much your Amazon wallet and it's transferring the money to your Amazon balance. It might only get you a few bucks off your next purchase, but hey, I'll take it!
Now, you can only do this with gift cards like VISA, you can't take an old Starbucks gift card and try to transfer $ off of that.
