You might remember William Hung, from the American Idol audition round of season 3. Yes, it was a long time ago.... 2004, to be exact. He has to be the most famous person to ever audition for the show and never make it past the audition round.
For his tryout, William performed his rendition of Ricky Martin's song, "She Bangs."
It was definitely interesting. It had two of the judges laughing and Simon Cowell exasperated. But William was charming and had a great attitude and his audition ended up capturing the imagination of America and really, the whole world.
William became famous or you might say, infamous, and traveled the world performing for a few years.
