I took another road trip to St. Petersburg this weekend to see my boyfriend. I desperately needed a mani/pedi so as soon as I got there, I went to a nail salon in his neighborhood to get that done. I went with summery blue nails.
We went out for pizza Friday night and then just stayed in and watched a movie.
Saturday, we went out for breakfast and I had some kind of gigantic breakfast burrito. I mean, it really was gigantic. I only ate half of that & took the leftover half so my boyfriend could have it for breakfast this week.
On Saturday afternoon, we met up with a couple of friends who came out from Jacksonville. We went to an area of Tampa called, Sparkman Wharf, in Tampa. It's a cool area. It's right on the river and it's all these shipping containers that offer food and drinks. You don't eat in the shipping containers... it's like food trucks but instead of food trucks, they're shipping containers and then you can eat and drink outside along the water. They have a beer garden as well, with an outdoor bar.
There's also a tequila bar/restaurant called, Jotoro and I did a margarita flight there.
After that, we were on the move and we rode scooters to the next bar. It was so fun! We stayed out of traffic, which could be why it was fun.
The next bar was right on the water on Harbour Island, called, Jackson's Bistro, Bar & Sushi. They've got good drinks and good sushi there & a terrific view.
After that, we went to the Hard Rock hotel and casino, where my friends were staying and I made the bad decision to do a little gambling. The last time I was there, Labor Day weekend in 2019, I hit a big hand at Three Card Poker and made... $1,200... or $1,500.... or $1,700... something like that. I went there after the Florida Georgia Line, Dan & Shay, Morgan Wallen show at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre with the guy I was dating at the time. He gave me a little money to gamble with and it did not take long at all before I hit that big hand.
Well, that kind of luck was not with me Saturday night. I couldn't get anything going. Here I am, playing Three Card Poker.
After I lost money there, I tried playing craps. Because of the pandemic, the only craps you can play right now is electronically. I wasn't happy doing that, but I did play a little, before I lost enough and called it a night.
