Make Tricia Yearwood's DELICIOUS Salsa For Cinco De Mayo

Trisha Yearwood has a recipe for salsa that will knock your socks off.

I don't know why she calls it salsa, though, because it's really more like a guacamole, because it has lots of avocado in it, although the avocado isn't mashed up.

Anyway, the unique ingredient in this salsa is pineapple. I'm telling you, it is so good that everytime I make it, it gets gobbled up in one sitting.

It's super easy and definitely take Trisha's advice and serve it with lime tortilla chips. It makes it that much better!

Pineapple Avocado Salsa

2/3 cup grape tomatoes, chopped (10 to 12)

3/4 cup finely chopped pineapple

3 medium avocados, diced

1/2 finely chopped sweet onion, such as Vidalia

1/8 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro

1 tablespoon lime juice

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Black pepper

Lime tortilla chips, for serving

Combine the tomatoes, pineapple, avocados, onion, cilantro, lime juice, red pepper flakes and garlic salt in a medium bowl. Add pepper to taste. Serve with lime tortilla chips. Makes 2 cups.
