If you or your child want to switch schools, and you live in Duval County, the School Choice Expo is being held tomorrow, Sat. the 8th.
School choice is a process that lets families look at hundreds of schools and then apply to have a student go to a school outside of their zone.
If you're in Duval County, the Expo will be virtual, from 11a-3p tomorrow, so you can do it from the comfort of your home.
If you don't want to switch your kid's school, just go along with your planned Saturday... you don't have to do a thing.... pretend I didn't say a word.
But if your goal is to find a different school, then check out the School Choice Expo. You also need to fill out an application, and that is due by February 28th. However, school officials recommend you do it as quickly as possible to avoid getting shut out of your choices.
