Changes coming to the Jaguars front office?

Remember when the clowns showed up at TIAA Bank Field when Shad Khan didn't fire GM Trent Baalke? Khan then mentioned front office changes when head coach Doug Pederson was hired.

Rumors abound that former Texans GM Rick Smith is a possibility for the executive job that Tom Coughlin last held with the Jaguars in 2017. Smith is highly regarded among other NFL people. CBSSports.com writer Jason LaCanfora has mentioned Smith has a possibility, stating that Smith has the experience to succeed at the position last held by Coughlin, especially with the diversity hiring in NFL front offices getting more attention.

Smith was front office for the Texans from 2006-17. Before that he served in the front office with the Denver Broncos.

SI.com is saying that Smith is "on the Jaguars radar." Take this with a grain of salt, because all of the buzz two weeks ago was Rick Spielman was the hot candidate.

Whomever it is, it's just time for the Jags to get it right. Smith looks like he could be the man.
