Car Flips Over Buckman Bridge Into St. Johns River

A young driver is counting her lucky stars this morning after flipping her car over the Buckman Bridge into the St. Johns River and emerging okay. She was even driving the wrong way on the bridge when the accident occurred.

According to First Coast News, the accident happened early this morning, around 1a. Florida Highway Patrol says she was driving northbound in the median on the southbound side when she hit the guardrail and went off the bridge. Luckily, the car wasn't fully submerged in the water, according to the FHP. A good Samaritan helped the woman back to the shore.
