$15,000 to complete nursing school, and you don't have to do any book learning or class-going? Seems like a bargain, huh? Well... not so much.
Between 2016, and 2021, Siena College, the Palm Beach School of Nursing, and Sacred Heart International Institute in Florida, allegedly “sold over 7,600 phony documents” to allow some to “take nursing exams and get jobs” without actually doing any of the hard work. The price for a fake diploma was around $15,000.
The scam managed to rake in more than $100 million.
