Join Forggy, John &Megan on air on WQIK every morning from 5AM through 10AM!
About Froggy:
I’ve worked at various radio stations throughout Florida since 1994. I started at WFLZ – 933FLZ Tampa Bay…moved to WHYI – Y100 Miami in 2002. I’m currently at WKSL – 97.9 KISS FM and 99.1 WQIK Jacksonville. I’ve been a co-host on the nationally syndicated Elvis Duran Morning Show since 2006…17 years! My love for country music has led me to be the Program Director and afternoon drive personality on one of the longest running country radio stations in America. 99.1 WQIK! I’m driving you home every Monday thru Friday from 3p – 7p!
During my free time I enjoy NFL and college football (huge Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Florida Gators fan) and I’m a complete golf fanatic. I host Wednesdays on the Stripe Show Podcast…a podcast all about golf. I’ve been married to my wife wonderful Lisa for over 20 years, and we have a son Caden…and two dogs. I love living in Jax…and being able to work in many great cities across the US!
Another fun (or not so fun) fact about me is that I live with a rare, chronic disease called acromegaly. I was diagnosed in 2010 and continue to live with it today. In 2020 I survived a brain aneurysm. I do all I can to advocate for both conditions.
About John:
I am a native Jacksonvillian and have been at WQIK for 36 years! Outside of the fun I get to have as part of The Big Show, I love hanging out with my wife & family; cooking, walking the beach or catching a basketball game. My partial list of ‘doesn’t get better than this’: Friday nights at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville; late night drives down A1A in the summertime; Derek Trucks playing slide guitar; Carrie Underwood singing “How Great Thou Art,” and making my wife smile.
When I’m not driving to and from Tallahassee for Seminoles games, I also enjoy writing songs, Bible studies, and I have written a book on music from Jacksonville.
About Megan:
Kansas City native and Army veteran Megan Terry brings her passion for broadcasting and country living to radio. Having served six years in the military as a diesel mechanic, public affairs officer, and recruiter, Megan also earned her degree in Communication and Broadcast from Mississippi State University in 2019.
She’s worked with Radford Media, Steel City Media, and iHeartMedia, and is known for her down-to-earth, energetic style and strong connection with listeners. When she’s off-air, Megan volunteers with the American Red Cross and loves all things outdoors, snacks, and small-town charm. Outside of work and play, you can find her at home snuggled up with her dog Luna and her cat Stella.
